Rated 4 out of 5 by from A horror novel set in Canada's Big Empty Part horror, part suspense novel, this story stayed with me long after I had finished it! Although it is only 294 pages (short for my taste), it had everything to make me be gripped by the story: a century- old monster, attachable characters and a story plot that hooked me from the very beginning. I would definitely recommend this novel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will give you the shivers! Teenagers vs. Wendigo on an icy Canadian lake. I don't think that there is any monster scarier than the Wendigo. Naming the monster isn't a spoiler because we meet it in one of the early chapters. After marking two of the boys, it then stalks them in their dreams and generally terrorizes them calling them to him. Yep, it's scary as heck! The group of kids is interesting and diverse and there are some great action scenes. This was a short, fun read but definitely will give you the shivers!
