about

This is an Up in the Air companion novella, and should be read after Grounded.
Lana can’t remember a time when she wasn’t hopelessly in love with Akira. Even knowing that he viewed her as a kid sister had never helped to dampen her feelings. One night together only made it worse. After seducing Akira, it became apparent that their love affair was hopelessly one-sided, and heartbroken, Lana fled her beloved island paradise.
Eight years later, Lana finally returns home, planning to stay briefly, and only for business, but her plans go quickly awry when she runs into the man she could never get over.
At just under 34,000 words, this story is a novella.
This book is intended for ages 18+

Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but too short Good book but thought Lana would be stronger female caracter she never really said was she thought like she did in Up in the air series. Book was also too short.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good book. Nice to have some more back story on the characters in this series. Story was a little disjointed, but overall worth the read.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what I was expecting Since I read the "up in the air" series I had pegged Lana as a stronger character and was therefore really disappointed with this story because she was actually completely weak willed when it came to Akira almost disgustingly so. Some novellas are short but still well thought out and calculating which means they are packed full of plot and storyline. This novella however is more detail and explaination with a side of plot. Really the former leaves you full but still wanting more the later leaves you feeling hungry but glad you dont have tp eat anymore. If that makes any sense?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I wish it was longer. Like all her other stories, I really really like them. R.K. Lilley must be one of my favourite authors in this genre. I like her writing style and her characters. This story made me very emotional, (I'm a very emotional reader) and I love stories that do that to me where I can embody the characters and live them in my head. Overall, grear story... I just wish it were longer.
