Rated 4 out of 5 by from Intense and stimulating Much better then the first in my opinion. The story wove itself together much easier and with much more flow then the first. I love the character of Mutt and despite what she feels for Karrel, I believe that Kayla and Mutt would be one hell of a couple. The ending gripped me tightly and I cannot wait to read the next instalment and see what happens with these characters and the apocalypse hanging over the world.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Story and Characters Moving Along Great Someone is going to have to explain to me why everyone finds the sadistic Cyan X so attractive! :P Rhodes' universe grew in leaps and bounds in this novel and we were introduced to many things from both the characters' past and their possible futures. I have to admit that I find myself liking Mutt the more I read about him. Despite how much Kayla believes she loves Karrel, I find her interaction with Mutt far more stimulating. Sure, they have more face time, but if I had to choose between reading about Dante's history or Mutt's, I'd pick the latter. I'm dying to know where this story is going and it's such a huge tease to get bits and pieces in each story.
