Having narrowly avoided her own arranged marriage to an unacceptable nobleman, Loretta is determined that her dear brother-a gentle, good-natured soul-should marry for love. Matching wits with Hawk may be her greatest challenge yet. . .until she realizes it may also be her greatest pleasure. For the young duke's irresistible charm has not only begun to crumble her stubborn resolve, it has claimed her heart in true love as well in To the Duke, With Love.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pleasant read Years ago Loretta made a vow that she will never break. Since that moment she has been isolated, away from friends and society. When Hawk arrives to present an arrangement to her brother she feels the whisper of discontent at what her life has turned out to be. Hawk is instantly taken with Loretta and her forthright attitude and determination to win any argument. Even as he takes steps to solidify his plans for his sister he maneuvers circumstances to his benefit regarding the charming woman who has captured his attention. While parts of this was wordy and full of introspection, the building relationship between the main characters was engaging. They are perfect for each other and yet Loretta cannot yield to Hawk’s desires. There is a couple of secondary storylines that helped to move the book along and the one regarding Farley was heart wrenching. Overall, this was a pleasant read. This is an honest review of an advanced copy provided by NetGalley and St. Martin’s Press. Dual POV Safe No apparent triggers

Editorial Reviews

"Sparks arc between perfectly matched protagonists as they fight their feelings and each other in a sexy, spirited story that will not disappoint." - Library Journal"The latest sterling addition to Grey's the Rakes of St. James series is another irresistible combination of skillfully nuanced characters, graceful writing imbued with a deliciously dry sense of wit, and lushly sensual romance." -Booklist"With its engaging characters, sweet sensuality and Dickensian twist, readers will find themselves cheering on the characters while savoring a double romance and a glimpse into the often overlooked underbelly of English society. Highly enjoyable." -- RT Book Reviews "Lively dialogue and stubborn protagonists make this story work." -- Publishers Weekly"A delightful tale...The chemistry between these two almost short circuited my ereader. This was such a character driven story and these two did not let me down. They could have easily stepped into any time period or location and have been just as stunning." -- Night Owl Reviews"The twists and turns toward love are not easy, Grey makes the journey a worthwhile one. Hawk and Loretta are feisty and have a passion that explodes when the two join forces. They became one of my favorite historical romance couples as the novel ended in an unexpected perfection." -- Lindsey Gray"To the Duke, With Love reminded me why I love historical/regency romance." -- A Quaintrelle in the City
