Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally worth the read! This was a refreshing story - the writing style was good, language and descriptives most enjoyable. However the best part of the story was the character development. What a fantastic job of creating people that you normally would avoid on the street and you end up cheering and wanting to help them fight their way back up. There's a message here...it could happen to any of us...and I hope someone notices who I am and reaches out a hand when no-one else is there. This was a mystery but it also ties it closely to a social conscience and it all happens in the city I know so well. Glad I picked it up and i do want to read more from this author - way to go ... Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dana Leoni is a survivors hero--Bravo Dana Leoni definitely has a voice in Parkdale. Even though she is a fictional character, Pat Capponi has brought this wiley survivor to life in her first adventure. Capponi brings Parkdale to life as well; you feel that you are in the neighborhood. Thank you Miss Capponi. I love that you also refer to Janet Evanovich's Plum series as well.
