Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Read! I had a hard time at first, i couldn't get over the such a close story line with different names. I was able to get over this and i am glad i did. it turned out to be a great book!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Novel I read this book about a month ago after I read Twilight, New moon, Eclipse, The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner and Breaking Dawn. Life and Death is not what I expected it to be but it turned out to have a fine ending. The characters Beau and Edyth create and ever lasting love for each other and all is well in the end. This book is a great read for teens and it's perfect for someone who's looking for a good novel to read. I would recommend this novel to friends, family, and even strangers! Read this amazing book to find out what happens!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The original was better... I still loved it, but it can't beat the original Twilight!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Hmm... I really wanted to love this book; but didn't. I liked how Meyer did a spin of the original. Still a good read.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed I love Twilight, but this fell short for me. It's something I felt I had to read being such a big Twilight fan, but ultimately I was bored.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I was disappointed Its basically the same as the first Twilight book but the ending. If you like the original Twilight then you will probably enjoy it but not be wowed by it. I wish she would write more on Bella and Edward or a separate book about Jacob.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Different I love Twilight and because of that I was excited to read this book. I did really like it, it has a fresh twist on Twilight. But the original will remain my favorite, forever.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay read better than twilight series

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great book At first I did find the gender switch to mess with my head a little bit, but then once I got into it I started to see it as it's own book; Edythe and Beau as their own characters. Overall I really liked it, especially the little twists that Stephenie Meyer put in to make it more exciting. :)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A Little Unnecessary While writing has improved in the years since the first book, this was somewhat redundant. I was interested at first but I thought it was a bit boring and difficult to read the change in gender.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pretty Disappointing ** spoiler alert ** I thoroughly enjoyed this book right up until the ending. I enjoyed the character swaps, the internal dialogue of a male Bella, and the small plot changes throughout. I mean, the general plot was Twilight so I was never going to hate it, there is too much nostalgia there. The only part I didn't like was the ending. I knew before I even picked up the book that she had written a new ending, and I had guessed what the ending would be, and I was find with it. My problem was the last next 30 pages. After Beau was turned it was just a giant mess of information dumps, character bios, and out of character moments. I don't know why the characters in this book decided it was this great idea to give Beau the entire history of vampire politics AND all of the characters tragic backstories as he was turning into one of them. That was very chunky writing and it didn't make sense. Plus the way he turned was really weird. Half the time he was oblivious with pain and the other half he was consious and keeping up with their conversations. Also, Bella was able to change and be very in control of herself because she had months of preparation, and she knew 100% that this was the life she wanted. Beau knew Edyth for a couple of months and then was turned out of necessity. He had no preparation and no real understanding of what he was getting into. In my opinion that means he should have been much closer to a normal new born. As I said, I didn't mind the fact that in this version Beau was turned, I thought it was pretty interesting. My problem was that the aftermath was executed in a really dumb way. All in all I thought that the Twilight part of this book was pretty cool. The last 30 pages where it turned into a badly written Fanfiction where not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interesting read I have a read all the Twilight books. While I was reading the Life and death, I would mentally compare both books. It is definitely male version of Twilight, and I did enjoy the ending- Good ending. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Loved It ... Switching the genders was interesting .. took a bit of getting used to but by the end it really reads as it's own story. Loved it but really wish S.Meyers would have finished midnight sun - I would love to read the whole series from Edwards perspective - it would have really rounded out the story.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Interesting I am only part way through this book, but I still have a hard time remembering that Bella is now Beau. I keep seeing Bella as I read. We will see...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pretty good pretty good twist to the series

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cool I really enjoyed Beau and Edythe's story and really liked how this one panned out in the end. I can't believe that I'm actually going to say this but I really was hoping that it wouldn't end where it did. The gender swap was a interesting concept. In the beginning it was a slow read because I was trying to remember everyone's name from Twilight but after I got it down the book was a much faster read and I enjoyed it very much.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun flip It was interesting to see how things would go if genders were flipped. Although I wasn't as into it as the original, good for a fan but for there 10 anniversary I was hoping for a little more....like the release of Midnight Sun! Come on Myers get on it ha ha
