Rated 3 out of 5 by from wasn't my favourite text on Christianity I admire Bonhoeffer, I mean it's really difficult not to. But this book really rubbed me the wrong way. It seems like he's stuck on the idea that you have to do good works to reach the height of Christianity and I think that's a corrosive view, theologically his arguments are sound and he did have a few awesome things to say about community but it wasn't my favourite text on Christianity,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Us and Others Bonhoeffer's "Life Together" is the first of his books I ever read and is the best introduction to his life and thought. According to Bonhoeffer the key to human relationships is found in the relationship of people to God. Bonhoeffer breaks down every part of daily activity and how the community relates. The most important point is that the Christian community originates with God and not man. The richest and deepest fellowships happen without an plans on our part. This book is very well translated and is very readable by the lay person as well as the serious theology student.
