about

pubOne.info thank you for your continued support and wish to present you this new edition. I have been occupied with this story, during many working hours of two years. I must have been very ill employed, if I could not leave its merits and demerits as a whole, to express themselves on its being read as a whole. But, as it is not unreasonable to suppose that I may have held its threads with a more continuous attention than anyone else can have given them during its desultory publication, it is not unreasonable to ask that the weaving may be looked at in its completed state, and with the pattern finished.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A story that stays with you Little Dorrit is a story that will have you belly-laughing for hours. It contains characters you'll love and characters you'll love to hate. It's mostly comedic, with a little romance threaded throughout. Dickens explores weightier subjects like society and human nature, but in a lighthearted way that keeps you entertained. At times, the story's pace can slow down quite a bit, for those who like faster-paced books. However, it's worth the patience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favourite Dicken's Novel This book is a forgotten classic, especially regarding Dickens work. It is a story of mystery, intrigue, love, and misery. I particularly enjoyed the characters of Amy and Arthur, as well as the colourful ensemble. The book can be a challenging read due to its length, and lag at certain long winded points. Some of the sub-plots can be a little difficult to get through, but I thoroughly enjoy this book! I recommend if you are a Dicken's fan, an Austin fan, or you enjoy historical fiction or classics.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would Recommend This book is a forgotten classic, especially regarding Dickens work. It is a story of mystery, intrigue, love, and misery. I particularly enjoyed the characters of Amy and Arthur, as well as the colourful ensemble. The book can be a challenging read due to its length, and lag at certain long winded points. In addition, the ending is quite hectic and busy and can leave you thinking, "wait what!". Some of the sub-plots can be a little difficult to get through, but I thoroughly enjoy this book! I absolutely love the story of Amy Doritt and her family. Amy and Arthur have become my favourite dickens characters, in this much underrated novel. I recommend if you are a Dicken's fan, an Austin fan, or you enjoy historical fiction or classics. I'll be honest it will be hard for you to get through if you don't normally read Dicken's, but it is well worth it!
