Rated 5 out of 5 by from Socially relevant This is the first Margaret Atwood book I've read and I absolutely loved it. Something about this book just clicked with me. Atwood (although writing in the 70s), her portrayal of Del's experience growing up resonates with being a woman in this day and age.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Her Best? I've only read a few of her books, but of those, this is by far my favorite. I devoured this in two days, really couldn't put it down, and considering its about a girl growing up in small town Ontario, that's saying something. This is more of a novel made up of interconnected stories than a short story collection.
