Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great I like how the voices are at an appropriate speed on the disk. Also, the notebook is useful for taking notes while learning. The exercises in the textbooks are useful for practice and reminds me of french workbooks from high school.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellent program I like it when it provides note taking scrap books, but to start the advance part is a bit confusing, how can I study it, when to start

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Language Programme This latest edition of the Living Language self-study language programmes is a modified and enhanced version of their justifiably, well-received “Complete: Basics” programmes. The basic approach and most of the dialogues are unchanged from the previous edition. Enhancements include: a vastly improved visual presentation, much-appreciated additional exercise material, separation of the material into different levels, the inclusion of a glossary within each level (as opposed to the provision of a separate dictionary), and access to some fairly simple on-line learning activities. The CD recordings are, as always with the Living Language programmes, of a very high quality. The voices are clear, well-modulated, and at an appropriate speed. The latest set of recordings includes voluminous instructions in English drawn directly from the printed material. Some users might find this somewhat of an advantage since astute learners can read through the text only once and then rely more-or-less completely on the recordings without further reference to the text. The disadvantage of this approach is that, as the learner becomes more comfortable with the material, reviewing the dialogues requires some deft skipping forward to avoid the now-superfluous English instructions. Random House is to be congratulated on the continuing evolution of their “Complete” self-study language programmes. When compared to competing programmes, given the quality and completeness of this material, the price is ridiculously low!
