Rated 4 out of 5 by from China Usually consult a Lonely Planet book for planning bigger trips. The guides provide useful hints about local etiquette, packing recommendations, historical details, cultural ethnicity, food and dining, maps and must see sites. This guide was pretty bulky and made packing efficiently a little harder, but hit and miss Internet access made it worth taking.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Like a city guide Enough details in the cities, but missing the overland travel information of being out of town, which is the true beauty of China.
