Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lacking significant information for the independent traveler I got this about a month ago as there is not much information available for independent travel in the Maldives. This book has some useful information but the majority of the book covers resorts on the uninhabited islands. It covers a few inhabited islands but there is very little to no information on many of the inhabited islands & guesthouses. It claims it is 100% researched and updated but what it really needs is to be expanded to cover more islands with more information. I did not return this book as there is some helpful information and might get my moneys worth but overall the book was disappointing relative to the many others I have used. Since then I've found several informative websites that have been helping plan our trip more than this book. If you are thinking of purchasing, see if you can find a copy in your local library first and you can decide if this book fits your needs. If you are the resort type, might be just right for you, if you not, you might be disappointed. Cheers.
