about

"Loot hits the jackpot." - Rick Riordan, #1 New York Times bestselling author

On a foggy night in Amsterdam, a man falls from a rooftop to the wet pavement below. It's Alfie McQuinn, the notorious cat burglar, and he's dying. As sirens wail in the distance, Alfie manages to get out two last words to his young son, March: "Find jewels."

But March learns that his father is not talking about a stash of loot. He's talking about Jules, the twin sister March never knew he had. No sooner than the two find each other, they're picked up by the police and sent to the world's worst orphanage. It's not prison, but it feels like it.

March and Jules have no intention of staying put. They know their father's business inside and out, and they're tired of being pushed around. Just one good heist, and they'll live the life of riches and freedom most kids only dream about.

Watch out! There are wild kids on the loose and a crime spree coming . . .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this action-packed book! I bought this book from my school book fair and as soon as I started to read this book it hooked me onto every word I was reading. In the book it talked about this young boy named March whose dad was a notorious burglar and his name was Alfie McQuinn. One night Alfie McQuinn was trying to complete a big heist of moonstones. He was on top of a roof and he lost his balance and fell to the ground and worst of all his son March was there to witness it all. That night March lost his father. His last words to March were "find jewels" and March soon found out his dad meant his lost sister. March finds his sister and when they meet they are scooped up from the police and sent to an orphanage. When they meet some friends there they hatch a plan to escape. When they escape, they decide they want to be in a gang and they decide they need to find the moonstones. They are made a deal but will they pull it off or be sentenced in juvenile court? I really enjoyed this book and I think it will be a great read for anybody. Hope you enjoy this book!
