Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great addition to the series If you've bought one of Johanna Basford's other coloring books, you'll know exactly what to expect with this one - excellent and repetitive artwork. Still, I've had a lot of fun with this book and I love all of the underwater imagery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! The paper of the book is nice, and design is suitable for adult coloring. Fun and not overwhelmed!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful The pictures in this colouring book are stunning and incredibly detailed. As with any book, the downfall is that it can be difficult to colour close to the book binding, and you can see the colour on the other side of the pages. I would have enjoyed doing some of these pictures in coloured ink, but thicker paper would be better for that. Overall definitely my favourite colouring book. #plumreview

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly Stunning I absolutely love Johanna Basford's coloring books, the amount of detail she puts in is perfect. I love sitting down and spending hours filling in the details. I am so excited to see what new books she'll be releasing her art is simply beautiful. I really recommend this coloring book in the growing coloring book market.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Intricate and takes time I love the colouring pictures in this and there is a little legend at the front that shows you what types of objects are hidden throughout this inky adventure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely Colouring Book Lost Ocean is an absolutely beautiful adult colouring book. If you like underwater scenes, you will probably enjoy this book. Basford is an wonderful artist and her pictures are full of incredible detail. In fact, if you are going to colour this book, make sure you have a good pencil sharpener (and maybe some reading glasses?). Some pages are mandala-like, others are scenes, and there are a few less detailed pages. However, each page would easily take hours to colour in. Even though this book is clearly aimed at adults, my 10 year old daughter has enjoyed colouring in it as well, but she is a patient sort of child. She loves the imagination in the pictures and searching for the hidden pictures in each page. The pages themselves are thick and can even stand up to colouring with a sharpie marker without bleeding through. It would be better if the book could lay open flat as many of the pictures span both pages and it is difficult to colour in the binding. If you are looking for a book to take advantage of the meditative aspects of colouring and love the ocean, this is a great one. Disclaimer: I received this book from the publisher for an honest review.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Other books are better I love her coloring books i have a few of the other ones. I was super excited to get this one because i love the ocean. But i was disappointed. Doesn't seem like she spent as much time on this one looks computer generated. Many of the pages to color are generic. Was hoping for more sea creature designs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful drawings to colour Okay, I admit it - when I first heard about adult colouring books, I was skeptical. Could sitting down to colour be enjoyable? Relaxing? Dare I say - stress relieving? And then I tried it - and the answer is yes to all of the above. Johanna Basford has a number of adult colouring books out - all quite amazing. I thought I would dive (pun intended!) into Lost Ocean: An Inky Adventure and Colouring Book. I liked the gold accents on the cover - it hints at treasure within. (I'm a magpie - anything shiny catches my eye!) Now, are you one of those people who will start at the beginning and do all the pages in order? Or are you like me - I'll pick the one that appeals to me and start with it, choosing another as the mood strikes. Lost Ocean offers a wide range of choices from intricate, to simple. Basford has touched on all things oceanic from images of creatures of the deep - fish, octopuses, mermaids, lobsters, crabs to sunken galleons and their treasures, whimsical designs and more. The last picture is a double sided four page foldout - okay I am indeed saving that one 'til last. Every page from cover to copyright page has images to bring colour to. And then there's the added fun of trying to also find hidden images in the drawings - diamonds, rings, keys, gold coins and others. (No worries - there's an answer key at the back!) Lost Ocean is produced on nice, clean, crisp white stock - all your colour choices will show up true. I thought I would start with imagining some brightly coloured fish under the waves. Remember - there's no 'right' way to colour - enjoy it! Have you tried adult colouring books yet? Lost Ocean would be a good one to get your feet wet! (pun intended!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun way to kill time Apparently I am very bad at colouring but this helps me take my mind off stress in my life. It also helps remind me to look at the big picture rather than every little mistake I make.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This book is amazing. Pre-ordered it a week before it came out, got it a week after it came out and actually got it earlier than expected. The book is well made, thick white pages, and no slip cover, they just made the actual cover the way the slip cover would have been, over all great quality. All Johanna's books area amazing, the art work is top notch. Makes it hard to decide wither you want to colour it or leave it blank and just look at it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Still a favourite. The standard. I enjoy all the books by this artist. I wish the format was better. It's too tedious to color near the book binding which makes finishing your page difficult. The pencil colors bleed onto the page facing it. This should be one page without another facing it and a couple inches border around each image. The images are fun to color although far too repetitive.
