about

The answers Bailey Flanigan once longed and prayed for are finally becoming clear. In Loving, the fourth and final book in the Bailey Flanigan Series by New York Times bestselling author Karen Kingsbury, Bailey is planning a wedding and making decisions that will shape her future. Bailey enjoys the beginning of her new career and time spent with Brandon while Cody faithfully coaches his team on and off the field. Will she spend her life with Brandon Paul in Los Angeles, or will her heart draw her back to Bloomington, Indiana and Cody Coleman, her first love? Bailey has learned much and grown over the years, but the greatest challenges, the richest joys, and the deepest heartaches are still to come. Featuring members from Karen Kingsbury’s popular Baxter family, Loving completes Bailey and Cody’s story — the finale thousands of fans have been waiting for.

Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great beautiful conclusion to her story

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hugely Disappointed Every since this book was first released back in 2012, I'd noticed the reviews had been quite all over the place. Some loved it, some hated it, some thought it was a horrible conclusion to Bailey's story, and some hoped that Karen was going to continue on with more novels. After being massively underwhelmed by the first three books in this series, mainly because I felt they all emphasized the importance of money over everything else, I wasn't expecting too much out of this one, but I was still hoping to be proven wrong. However, this novel ended up being exactly what I was afraid of, and I don't foresee myself continuing on with reading Karen Kingsbury's novels in the future. While I completely love inspirational fiction, I can't stand how this author has chosen to promote wealth and riches coming to you if you're faithful in your relationship with God, and this theme has popped up over and over again in her more recent novels. As well, I really feel this novel is going to give young women unrealistic expectations about marriage, wealth and success; as the average young girl is never going to end up in the situations Bailey always finds dropping into her lap. As well, into about the second book in this series I literally started to feel like I was rereading Dayne and Katy's story instead, and this book reinforced that feeling even more so. I feel this series had such potential, but I'm beyond belief disappointed with how it turned out, and I don't personally recommend picking this one up. There's so many amazing inspirational authors out there now, and I'll be choosing their books in the future rather than Karen Kingsbury's.
