about

#1 New York Times Bestseller

Magnolia Table is infused with Joanna Gaines' warmth and passion for all things family, prepared and served straight from the heart of her home, with recipes inspired by dozens of Gaines family favorites and classic comfort selections from the couple's new Waco restaurant, Magnolia Table.

Jo believes there's no better way to celebrate family and friendship than through the art of togetherness, celebrating tradition, and sharing a great meal. Magnolia Table includes 125 classic recipes—from breakfast, lunch, and dinner to small plates, snacks, and desserts—presenting a modern selection of American classics and personal family favorites. Complemented by her love for her garden, these dishes also incorporate homegrown, seasonal produce at the peak of its flavor. Inside Magnolia Table, you'll find recipes the whole family will enjoy, such as:

  • Chicken Pot Pie
  • Chocolate Chip Cookies
  • Asparagus and Fontina Quiche
  • Brussels Sprouts with Crispy Bacon, Toasted Pecans, and Balsamic Reduction
  • Peach Caprese
  • Overnight French Toast
  • White Cheddar Bisque
  • Fried Chicken with Sticky Poppy Seed Jam
  • Lemon Pie
  • Mac and Cheese

Full of personal stories and beautiful photos, Magnolia Table is an invitation to share a seat at the table with Joanna Gaines and her family.

Joanna Gaines was born in 1978. She graduated of Baylor University and worked for a local tire shop. She and her husband Chip are the stars of the HGTV show, Fixer Upper and the co-authors, with Mark Dagostino, of the book, The Magnolia Story.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Magnolia Anything - Is a Hit! Glad I bought this one to add to my collection of 'Magnolia' books and magazines (journals). The recipes are basic (meaning without complication) because who needs complicated, right? Jo is golden and anything she puts her hand to, is worth the investment. I've bought her 'Cursive' (removable) wallpaper for a clients powder room.. she loved it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fans of the show would love this book Like me. I am a huge fan of the show and I loved the anecdotes before each recipe. It's a peek into the lives of one of our favourite TV couples. I usually try a few recipes in a cookbook before leaving a review but this is an exception - the stories alone make it a good buy IMO (I got it on sale too!). Would non-fans appreciate this book? Hard to tell without trying the recipes first. But there are A LOT of recipes, most of them easy and relatable, so I'm pretty sure some of them are bound to be winners.

Editorial Reviews

“Once upon a time, in a land before the Magnolia Table cookbook, we never dreamed of straying from our family biscuits recipe. But when Joanna Gaines has some thoughts on biscuits, we listen… And having tasted these delectable, crumbly biscuits… we assure you, the detour is worth it.”
