about

During a crowded service at a cathedral in Germany, armed intruders in monks' robes unleash a nightmare of blood and destruction. But the killers have not come for gold; they seek a more valuable prize: the bones of the Magi who once paid homage to a newborn savior . . . a treasure that could reshape the world.

With the Vatican in turmoil, SIGMA Force leaps into action. An elite team of scientific and Special Forces operatives under the command of Grayson Pierce and accompanied by Lieutenant Rachel Verona of Rome's carabinieri, they are pursuing a deadly mystery that weaves through sites of the Seven Wonders of the World and ends at the doorstep of an ancient, mystical, and terrifying secret order. For there are those with dark plans for the stolen sacred remains that will alter the future of humankind . . . when science and religion unite to unleash a horror not seen since the beginning of time.

The bones lead to ancient mysteries and present-day terror . . . To follow them means death.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brilliant This novel is very very good. Rollins does what Dan Brown only sometimes does successfully; merge action and history into a plausible plot that both engulfs the reader and spits them back out. Read it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good read! I enjoy all of James Rollins books but find I get tired of them if I read too many back to back. They are very interesting, so I limit myself to a couple at a time so they get the attention they deserve :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it! Fantastic book! I love James Rollins. He's like a cross between Tom Clancy and Micheal Crichton. Right up my Indiana Jones alley!! I highly recommend his books to anyone who loves any of the aforementioned authors or movies

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The beginning Unfortunately I became a James Rollins fan with his novel, Devil Colony and fell in love with his writing style. The trouble is having read them out of sequence, even though they are written with enough back ground information to make it unecessary to read them in order. But seeing how the characters where first introduced and coming to know them by their background and watching them grow in depth is rewarding. I look forward to Sigmas next adventure for James Rollins is definitely a talented story teller.
