Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our 8 and 10 year old boys love this book. It is an honest , accurate and informative story and it is beautifully illustrated. The story is about Maria who plays with her younger brother and falls of the couch, breaking her arm bones. Maria is very brave and she understands that everybody who sees her at the hospital is there to help. She also learns about the procedures and words the doctors, nurses and cast technicians use when fixing fractures. It is hard not to fall in love with the characters who are so genuine and real. In short, Maria's Marvelous Bones is a beautiful book that every kid and adult should read.
