Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE LOVE ! I'm 16 and my mother urged me to read the mark of the lion book series for a long time. i told her that i would read them and they ended up im my closet for over a year, untouched, until finally i picked up the first book. i don't know why i didn't read them earlier ! i couldn't believe what i was missing. Rivers pulled me into her book almost instantly and i couldn't set it down. i would end up reading in class and on lunch break instead of hanging out with friends. this series is incredible. i laughed and cried, weeped, got butterflies, there were times when i got angry. this book made me think about my own faith and touched my heart. it sticks to its message and helped me the questions that i had. i love this series and will re-read it. and share with friends. if you don't read this book i can tell you right now that you are missing out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost a Classic - Can't-Put-Down I read this series years ago and can't wait to read it again!  Rivers does an amazing job of bringing this time period into a reality as you read.  Each of three books is as awesome as the others!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing stories! The Mark of the Lion series is a must read for everyone! Francine Rivers, ties in history with fiction. By doing so, I was eager to find which was truth and which was fiction. Any time a book is thought provoking, I want to learn more about our history and the places the story talks about. Great set - I will re-read and share with others!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't put it down! This series is by far the best I've ever read and set a new standard against which all other books are measured. I borrowed the books from a friend and he warned me not to start them on a weeknight because I wouldn't be able to put them down. He was RIGHT! I came in bleary eyed to work the next day, but it was worth it. A warning, do NOT read the first book without having the second one at the ready.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I would recommend this book to anyone. It was amazing faith building and encouraging as well as captivating and dramatic. The integration of scripture was done in such a flowing, natural, eloquent way so as to make it part of the thought process. I was lost in the world of ancient rome and had so much more understanding of the times and was able to better understand scripture through these novels. Men would equally be drawn by the brutal war times and brave warrior spirit of the men of ancient rome. I would liken it to Gladiator and Troy.
