Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Highly entertaining read! I have been a fan of this book ever since I heard the late Hoyt Axton's rendition of the story of Rancher Hicks and his wife Elna on "Reading Rainbow" last summer. I found the ending a bit abrupt, though. I thought something was going to happen after Elna finds the diamond ring inside the box of Cracker Jack that Rancher Hicks brought back from Sleepy Gulch, but that was it. A good read nevertheless!
