Medicine of Our Ancestors: Ancestors Are Medicine is the 2nd Book in the series "Honouring Indigenous Spiritual Technologies". It follows from the first book, Nudges from Grandfather released in April, 2016. Just as in the first book, each chapter is a true story of first hand descriptions of applying various Indigenous spiritual technologies in service to others. Three themes weave through the book. The first theme centres around how the majority of the worlds pharmaceutical market is dependent on the medical knowledge of Indigenous ancestors. The author completed his Phd in Law in the subject and developed tools to trace major pharmaceutical drugs back to the plants and Indigenous communities of origin. Incredible discoveries are made including finding the hidden origins of a number of major pharmaceutical cancer and HIV medicines that "re-story" our dependency on the medicine of our ancestors. The second theme explores deeper meanings to "Medicine" such as pure water as medicine and how Indigenous technologies exist for purifying water as well as honouring the spirit of water in ways that keep human beings healthy. The third theme builds on the first book in exploring how the ancestors themselves are a form of medicine for us. Much of modern chronic illness are inherited through the generations. The book concludes in describing, through illustrative practice, lessons on healing inter-generational illness as well as unlocking latent ancestral genetic capacities through strategic actions informed by Indigenous spiritual technologies of powerful ancestral connection.
