In Mind Gym, noted sports psychology consultant Gary Mack explains how your mind influences your performance on the field or on the court as much as your physical skill does, if not more so. Through forty accessible lessons and inspirational anecdotes from prominent athletes--many of whom he has worked with--you will learn the same techniques and exercises Mack uses to help elite athletes build mental "muscle." Mind Gym will give you the "head edge" over the competition.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bunch of useless sports anecdotes "An athelete's guide to inner excellence" my foot. More like "the author's musings on how many athlete's he knows". There is not a paragraph in here that doesn't reference some pitcher or golfer. I'm a runner .. I don't care .. half the time I don't even know what I'm reading, because its just a string of sports specific statistics and acronyms. Blah blah blah ERA blah blah blah three-putting (is that bad?) blah blah blah walks-per-strikeout ratio??????? I was expecting descriptions of techniques to use, what I got was a bunch of useless baseball and golf stories.
