Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Amazing Story of Adolphus Tips What a story. I regretted to have to put it down every time. Great story-telling with s surprise ending. Strongly recommended to anyone who loves cats, reading people's diaries or tjose who want to know what life was like in rural England during WWII. It's 1943 and this family, in fact the whole village has been given only a few short weeks to move out lock, stock and barrel so the allied forces could train for the war. The story is told in the most affectionate way.
