From the author of the successful blog,, comes over 130 incredible recipes to showcase how accessible, varied, delicious and nutritious vegan eating can be.

In this book you'll find recipes for your favourite comfort foods in all their vegan glory. Here are meat-free, egg-free and dairy-free recipes that combine the idea of eating healthily, with food that is immediately satisfying, tastes great and is easy to prepare. From delicious dips, appetizers and soups; to main courses including curries, pastas, stews, burgers and salads. There are a whole host of recommended juices and smoothies and--at the sweeter end of scale--cookies, cakes and desserts. Mouthwatering Vegan transforms home cooking classics into vegan-accessible, delicious dishes.

Miriam challenges herself to replicate dishes that are usually impossible to include in a vegan diet and opens up the scope for what vegan eating can be. Included in the book are recipes for vegan cheese, cream and mayonnaise; Chilli Con 'Carne', Shepherd's Pie, Mince & Ale Pie, Stroganoff Supreme and the Perfect Roast. As well as delicious dishes that celebrate pulses and vegetables, such as Aubergine, Chickpea and Potato Curry; Stuffed Tomatoes and Zucchini Casserole; Red Bean Nut Burgers; Spicy Rice & Quinoa Eggplant Bake; and Super Mushroom & Walnut Loaf.

Many of Miriam's recipes are inspired by the Mediterranean and the Far East, and all of them have the health benefits of vegan cooking without sacrificing the taste. Mouthwatering Vegan opens up new possibilities for vegan eating that will make you rethink vegan cuisine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! This was one of the first vegan cookbook I bought. It's filled with lots of 'transition' recipes and I still use it a lot when I have carnivore company! No one has even thought that the ' rock and roll savoury baklava' was vegan! All her curries are good too, especially the lentil tandoori masala with spicy potatoes. The best recipe is the chocoholics cheesecake. It is incredible and versatile. Need it to be gluten free? Replace digestive/graham biscuits with rice crispies. Don' t want a crust? Make as a wonderful mousse. This is my go-to recipe for parties pot-lucks and special occasions.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A little disappointing This cookbook has fallen short of our hopes and expectations. A lot of the recipes call for "vegan meat substitute," which is kind of a cop-out -- and not satisfactory if you're trying to avoid soy/tofu. If I had known this, I wouldn't have bought it. Unfortunately, I didn't look closely enough at the recipes. There are some winners -- but perhaps not enough to warrant buying it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must-Have Cookbook I own a lot of cookbooks and by far, this is my favourite. As a vegetarian who would like to become vegan, this will be the perfect guide. It is chocked full of great information and the recipes are to die for! The pictures make you want to make every recipe in the book and the suggestions provided by Miriam, the author, make it easy to know what to do. Perhaps one of the most helpful things about the book is the fact that there are several recipes for making your own cheese. For many vegetarians, giving up cheese is the hardest thing to do and now you don’t have to! Thank you so much, Miriam, for providing such a wonderful resource!!!
