Award-winning and USA Today bestselling author Lynn Kurland “consistently delivers the kind of stories readers dream about.”* Now, she pens a wonderfully romantic tale about an eight-hundred-year-old ghost and the modern woman who turns his plans for a peaceful afterlife upside down…

When Victoria McKinnon’s brother offers to finance her production of Hamlet, she leaps at the chance. She can’t imagine anything better than staging Shakespeare’s masterpiece in an honest-to-goodness English castle. There’s just one problem: the place is haunted by a grumpy, gorgeous Highland warrior who’s furious that anyone dares to invade his home.

Connor MacDougal has no intention of relinquishing his authority over Thorpewold castle to anyone, let alone a McKinnon. But when he catches a glimpse of the beautiful intruder, suddenly he can’t help but wonder why it’s taken eight hundred years into his afterlife to find the love of a lifetime…

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I enjoyed this book immensely, it was such a good book that I could hardly put it down, it was so funny in places that I hated to take it with me to public places to read, as I would be reading it and laughing so hard that people would look at me as if I had lost my mind. It was such a fantastic book that I recommended it to all of my friends and my 3 daughters to read also. I would love to get all of the rest of her books, have been scouring book stores, and libraries to find other ones by her, It is such a treat to read such a good book, it reminds me of a book by Jude Deverauz called Knight in Shining Armor, that was also a fantastic book, one of my all time favorites, and for this one to be put up on a pedestal with this book, says a lot! I can't wait to read the rest of them. Recently purchased A Garden in the Rain, haven't had a chance to read it yet, but cannot wait. Also got My Heart Stood Still from the public library, should be some happy reading times comming up!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great read! Lynn Kurland is able to capture your imagination and bring the reader into the story. I really enjoy her ability to bring in characters from previous books and tie all the story lines together. Victoria and Connor are well-developed characters and the blossoming romance is a sweet read.
