Rated 5 out of 5 by from Real!!! Three years ago I neaded a book to read on my summer vacation and at the time I considered this to be pretty long and figured it would last the two week that I was away. Boy was I wrong! I finished it in three days and then read it again. I loved that the author made Mila seem so real. When I finished the book all I could keep thinking was, Wow, It's like I'm reading her mind. It's like a girl who was raised by dolphins would really think this. I found that the characters were really believable too. I strongly recemend Music of the Dolphins to anyone (especially girls) between 8 and 13 who love a good read.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Music Of Dolphins I really like this book. It's about a girl who had a family of dolphins. A coastguard finds her on a beach and brings her in to see Doctor Beck. They fed her and name her Mila. They teach her in a private classroom. She says she is making good progress. One day while she was learning, another doctor named Doctor Troy brought in a new girl. Her name was Shay. Shay was in a world of darkness her mother couldn't take care of her any more. Mila still isn't human yet she still longs for her dolphin family. She loved the ocean so much. One day, her only playmate gets taken away by the government. Shay took Mila's special dolphin boots with her so now, Mila is especially lonesome. What else will happen in this exciting story? Read it to find out!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Music of Dolphins Summary Young child Mila was found on an island off Florida. She is in newspapers all over the world after being rescued from living in the water. She was covered in barnicles when found, and has been raised by dolphons since 4 years old. She gets teachers and learns to speak and learns music and rules/disappointment/promises/etc. After learning all about being a human she wants more and more to go back to her ocean home. Dr.Beck is scared to let her go back to the water but Justin says he will let her go. So they take her back to her dolphin family and there Mila lives happily with her dolphin cousins, parents/aunts, uncle, brothers and sisters.
