Rated 4 out of 5 by from The Mystery of the Turtle Lake Monster When i got this book from one of my mom's friends, I barely glanced at the first chapter, thinking I would never read it. That was a few years ago. When my Grade 7 teacher announced that we would be writing a book report every month, I thought of The Mystery of the Turtle Lake Monster. We had to do it on a book we had never read, and there aren't much I havn't. When i picked up the book and started reading, i couldn't put it down. The book is about a boy, Justin, and his friends, Kiel and Katie, who are one of the first to see a strange sea creature at their camping site, Turtle Lake. When they try to find more about this creature, they start having accidents that don't exactly seem like accidents-someone is trying to hurt them. They also recive threatening notes telling them to stop searcing for clues about the monster. I was on the edge of my seat by this time. I had no idea what was going to happen. Who was writing those notes? Why would someone try to hurt them? I'm sure other people will be just as curious as I was reading this great chapter book. So-read it!
