Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptionally Detailed!!! I love this book! I forage in Canada and I love picking all kinds of random mushrooms and trying to identify them! It helps with height and stem types and cap types and tells you location and seasons and whether edible or not. I have about 10 mushroom books and it is by far my favorite!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never leave home without it! Fantastic field guide to carry with you while you're hunting mushrooms in the forest. Photos are dated but the descriptions can't be beat. Useful and a great resource that every mushroom picker must have.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good book, but not the best This book doesn't work very well as a field guide because the images of the mushrooms are not attached to the description so it's not very user friendly. The keys are not that easy to use. It's still good as a reference because it's full of information, so it's still useful but I just wouldn't take it on a foray.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Resource. This book has very clear pictures and instructions on how to fully identify a huge selection of mushrooms. If you follow the instructions in the begining on how to use the guide, you will find everything you need right there to begin hunting mushrooms. It's a great book for anyone who enjoys the outdoors and occasionally wonders about the mushrooms they pass.
