Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for I came across Marisa's first book and was tempted to pick it up because it was beautifully photographed and had some great recipes, but I really didn't want to be making and eating foods with so much refined sugar.......then I saw this book and it was exactly what I was looking for. I love using maple syrup and honey as substitutes in my cooking, but when I've looked online it's hard to find info on preserving with them. So happy to have a book full of recipes I can refer to over the coming years when I continue to try preserving. Plus the price is a steal!!

The recipes are unusual twist on classic preserves, with clear information, short ingredient lists and no use for additional pectin in most of the recipes. My only heads up would be that those preserves cost more to make than traditional sugar-filled preserve but if you are looking for out-of-the-box and surprising, this is the book to get :)
