Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Another exciting volume in the Expanse series. I suspect that this story is the one that changes the course of the series, keeping it fresh for many volumes to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it Great read. Focuses a lot on the backstory of the characters, which up to now was pretty murky. Really enjoyed the conspiracy that lurks behind the political shadows, reminded me of Leviathan Wakes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing This was an awesome book in an already great series. What starts as the crew of the Rocinante going on leave while its under repair at Tycho station, progresses to a solar system-wide escalation of the Earth/Mars/OPA conflict. Going forward in the series, there will definitely be a different feel based on where on the board the pieces are left. If you were underwhelmed by the plot around the new colony from Cibola Burn (I enjoyed Cibola Burn, for what its worth), worry no more, colonization through the gates is not a relevant part of the plot. There's a lot of background/character for Amos, Alex and Naomi in this book. It doesn't feel tacked on, and as the novel progresses it becomes fully integrated into the plot in a very satisfying manner. Definitely looking forward to the upcoming book 6.
