about

The creators of the popular blog BetchesLoveThis.com use their signature wit and wisdom to teach you how to make it in a dangerous world filled with nice girls and carbs.

LOOK, MAYBE YOU’RE A NICE GIRL, but we’re guessing you’re more like us or you probably wouldn’t have picked up this book. Not that we have a problem with girls who are nice people. But being nice is just not the way to get what you want. And this book is about getting what you want. Not in like a finding happiness, giving back to the world, being grateful for what you have sort of way. But in a ruling your world, being the most desired, powerful badass in the room way, so you can come out on top of any situation: guys, career, friends, enemies, whatever.

How does a betch make that happen?

Here are some highlights:

DON’T BE EASY.

DON’T BE POOR.

DON’T BE UGLY.

We didn’t come up with these life lessons. We’re just the ones who wrote it all down. This is not self-help. Self-help is for fat people and divorcées. This is how to deal with your problems when you have no problems. You’re welcome.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible I was hoping this book would get in touch with my acerbic sense of humor but it fell short and was just really lame. Wanted more mean girls and less.. shitty people. #plumreview

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not a good read at all I was quiet disappointed in this book. I was hoping for a good read and a good laugh but that was a complete opposite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hilarious! This book had me rolling!! Such a funny read, definitely recommend it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Currently reading this book and I'm obsessed! It's very inspiring and funny book. Good for people who with low self esteem, it will boost you right up! I don't recommend it to people who get offended easily tho. But in my case, I love the sarcasm and sense of humour overall.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh This book was ok, it was definately funny at times but it's dragged out. Is the same things being joked about still funny after 100 pages not so much. Funny memes but not a whole novel. And i guess for someone who doesn't do drugs and go to raves it gets a little old fast.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Time I thought this book was going to be interesting and empowering- it was none of these things. It was incredibly difficult to get through and honestly I gave up. I would not recommend this book.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hilariously Entertaining Very good read. It's hysterical and spot on.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Didn't finish Not what I thought. Kinda boring #plumreview

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horribly not funny A waste of time reading this novel! I understand it was supposed to be a satire, but it was rough. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Funny Probably not the best book if you're looking for actual life advice, but a good choice if you're looking for a laugh

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super Fun This was a good book that was full of some not great sarcastic advice. It was a fun read for the commute to and from work. If you are a little bit sensitive you may not want to read this.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Questionable While it was a funny book it was hard not to take offence to parts. I know it is meant to be taken as a joke but I found some of the topics a little too serious for that. Not what I expected at all. Probably would've returned it if I didn't wait so long to read it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible. Bought this book not realising it was meant to be satirical, but it took it way too far. From joking around with eating disorders to who knows what else (I couldn't get past five pages), I would not recommend this at all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from HORRIBLE! Not what I expected at all.....I thought that it was going to be a book about woman's empowerment, etc. It turns out it's just a bunch of upper west side girls from New York trying to teach other girls how to be a B****. Not cool. I found it to be a waste of time

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not What I Expected... At All This was quite honestly one of the most unfunny "satirical" books I've ever read. As others have said, it was dreadfully repetitive and painful to get through. I didn't even bother reading most of it. At first I didn't even REALIZE it was supposed to be satire, and I was shocked at how lightly they were writing about having eating disorders. More than anything, I found this book simultaneously offensive and dull. I genuinely did not think any of it was funny.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wish I could give it negative stars This book is terrible, I'm not even quite sure how it got written in the first place. It's not even funny.
Date published: 2017-01-06
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Bad When i first picked it up, I thought it was a self-help book for a certain type of girl. it is and it isn't at the same time. You should know not to take everything in a literal sense. Keeping that in mind, it was a very funny and entertaining book to read for fun. Definitely not one to base your life choices on.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh Was funny at times but very repetitive. Hard to get through after the first couple chapters.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Meh This book starts off fairly funny once you can keep in mind it should be taken as satire. However, if with keeping this in mind, I did not enjoy this book. I found it boring, and eye rolling at times.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from sarcastically humorous I enjoyed reading this book! It gave a good laugh and relatable in some ways. A quick light read for any girl who just wants a good non serious laugh.
Date published: 2016-11-21
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It was.... ok There are many times I found myself laughing at the book, however, the humour started to get repetitive. I couldn't even finish it. Would definitely recommend for girls aged 16-18.
Date published: 2016-11-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cheekily Funny! I at first was deceived by the subtitle thinking it was a self-help book. I should have known since the title was rather a double entendre and packed some wit. Most of the humour is female-centric but I'm sure any man would find the humour in these chapters. There were some points I thought this chapter is not only witty but holds some truth. This fits in nicely if you a fan of Sex And The City, Two Broke Girls, or the movie Bridesmaids. It packs a punch and the "betches" who wrote it are quite crafty with their liberal does of humour. It was a great pleasure to read!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty funny book! Although I found a lot of the advice I couldn't take seriously because it was a little too "betchy" for my taste, but still entertaining. Gave me a good laugh and definitely caught my attention from the beginning to the end, and definitely some good advice in there about being confident and ruling your world. Cheers to all the true betches out there!
