Rated 2 out of 5 by from Slow I read some of the books in this series a long time ago and I remember that while the first three were decent the next three were not as good. I recently reviewed the plot of this book after re-reading Centaur Aisle and unfortunately while the world is great and the characters are good the writing is bogged down with so much unnecessary detail. It's a shame really because I could have seen myself reading the rest of the series if the books were shorter, especially since I remember really liking the mare in this book.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nightmare nightmare Another walk into the punny universe of Xanth didn't leave me wanting. Nightmare had an excellent plot that was surprising and a definite page turner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A major accomplishment Although Piers "Zanthony" has many great works, some may be better then this book, that doesn't mean in anyway that this one wasn't excellent, I loved this one, I've been riding horses for 7 years and still he seemed to know quite a bit of horses. Most authors don't even investigate for info to put in their books, maybe Piers had his own knowledge for this book which it seems but I still find it excellent providing that he his a famous and great writer
