Northern Scotland is an established scholarly journal that has been in existence since 1972. It is a fully peer-reviewed publication whose editorial board, contributors, reviewers and referees are drawn from a wide range of experts across the world. Alastair Macdonald is Mackie Lecturer in History at the University of Aberdeen. Jim MacPherson is Programme Leader for MLitt British Studies, Postgraduate Research Co-Ordinator and Lecturer in History at The Centre for History, University of the Highlands and Islands.
