Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a fun read! Actual Rating - 4.5 What a fun and entertainig read! I love that this wasn't your typical superhero story. In fact, the main character isn't technically a superhero at all! The story was fun, fast paced, and a little silly which made for a great reading experience. While there were some predictable elements, it was still such a fun story to read that it didn't matter. Also props to the author for having all these diverse characters without making it feel awkward. They fit in the story perfectly and naturally, as they should always be! There were no issues along the lines of "well LGBTQIA+ can't be superheroes" and it just made me so happy to have all these characters included in every aspect of a greta story. This is where I hope to see LGBTQIA+ books get to in any new publications. I found the romance to be especially adorable. It made me remember what it was like to get your first crush when I was younger and I found myself getting nervous and excited when our main character did. Even the side characters were written with so much detail that you felt like you knew them. It was just a great reading experience all around.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A comic book without pictures Like the title of this review suggests, this book is very much a comic book waiting for the artwork to pop into existence. The story is full of the same goofiness, lightheartedness and crazy twists and turns associated with this genre of entertainment. That being said, the story is incredibly predictable, the romance isn't that interesting to see unfold and the main character is aggressively clueless at times, to the point of being borderline annoying. However, the world building is incredibly well done and interesting and most characters are highly likeable. There is also a high emphasis on diversity and open-mindedness in this book that I find highly enjoyable. Not a must-read, but definitely a good book nonetheless that is worth reading.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Predictable But Fun Just by reading the synopsis, it's possible to guess the big plot twist of the story, and though that doesn't bother me, it did get a bit old to read about the protagonist not getting it for so long. Still, this was a diverse, fun, cute, light read that I would recommend to everyone. I absolutely can't wait for the second book in this series.
