Rated 2 out of 5 by from An episode of ER in print This book began very well and kept the reader reading for a long period of time. It's just like the television show E.R. The problem is at the end of the book. You get involved with three characters and one of the characters Honey, is not finished like the other two. More should have been written, but instead Sheldon put in a prologue as if he were trying to rush the ending. It's not satisfying. Anyways it is a good book if you don't mind the ending.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing Lasts Forever The introduction was so gripping that I knew I had to keep reading. The powerful court scene in which Dr. Paige Taylor is accused of murder is just the beginning of what 3 young female doctors encounter in the world of medicine. Dr. Honey Taft and Dr. Kat Hunter are friends with Dr. Taylor. All 3 receive a rude awakening when they first come to the San Francisco hospital to start their careers. This novel reveals the hardships women face in the chosen career of medicine and also the grueling hours of training. Despite the lack of sleep and the lack of lives, these women get more than they bargained for and some of it is not very nice. Sheldon provides graphic detail on operations and lots of behind the scenes snapshots of hospital workings. This provides an interesting background for the story that surrounds Dr. Taylor's arrest for murder and the ruthless death of Dr. Hunter.
