Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent This is a decent book that will keep you reading. It is a story of secrets, and forgiveness. A tragic accident leaves the mother of a young boy dead, and before he can be turned over to the state, he must spend the summer with his father. A man he doesn't know, and who doesn't know of his existence either.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nothing much.... It's just an okay book, the cheating issue, for me, wasn't truly resolved. Max was a little too perfect for a child, and hero was a crass! The only human character here is the wife, tsk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Edge of my seat! Karen Kingsbury does not waste any time getting into the heart of this story in the first chapter! I was "literally" on the edge of my seat. She never disappoints with her ability to make you feel you are there with all the characters with such vivid details. Love this book for married couples or anyone struggling with forgiveness!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "Couldnt put the book down!" I new that this was going to be a good book as soon as I began to read it. The author (Karen Kingsbury) really knows how to make the reader feel as if they are the ones going through crisis our situation that the character(s) is feeling in the story. In doing so this made the reader feel even more respect and compassion as to how the charater may have felt. I highly suggest reading Oceans Apart by Karen Kingsbury. As well as her other recent works. In my opinion I feel that this author is truly a gifted one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A tale of forgiveness Michele and Connor have the perfect family including two daughter's they both adore. Connor has a secret and one day when a plane crashes and little seven year old boy show up on his doorstep, Conner knows that he is in trouble. The story was well written and shows the true feelings of Michele. I was eager to finish - to see how it would end. Very well written and touching. I kept thinking "wow how would I handle this"?
