There are far too many pages of 'filler'recipes and quite a few rehashes of recipes from the first book. There are also WAY too many photos of Angela (she obviously has a very high opinion of herself!). All in all I'm sorry I purchased this book.

All of the recipes are very well thought out, and it is a good introduction to Plant-Based eating. If you prefer a cookbook to pinterest and google this is a great place to start. Although it is a Vegam/Plant based cookbook, I think it would be good for anyone who is trying to add more vegetables to their diet or are interested in a healthier lifestyle. I love how all of the measurements are in dual-conversion so that you don't need to be converting online. Another nice touch is all of the mindful substitutions for different dietary needs. Angela Liddon has really put a lot of thought into making it easy on her readers in this wonderful follow-up.

Simple, delicious, most of the time healthy vegan recipes. I usually put a post-it on the pages of the recipes I want to try, the whole book was cover in post-it!! I try a dozen now and everything was so goooood! My favourite is the sweet potato and chickpeas curry.

Worst part about being vegan is having people always buying you trendy-yet-mediocre cookbooks for birthdays. Wasn't a fan of Angela Liddon's first cookbook (like, there were a couple interesting recipes but I had to adjust them to make them more palatable, and as to this new book, well, I already know how to put vegetables in a bowl and make them tasty) and this one falls even shorter.

Yes, the recipes are not that inventive or new (especially if you read Angela's blog) but they are simple and easy to create. Personally, I look for recipes that call for standard or easy-to find ingredients. If my local grocery store doesn't have it and I have to trek it to a health food store (pay a premium and only it use it once), the book probably isn't for me. Angela's latest book is a great addition to your collection and has easy, delicious recipes for the entire family.

I don't follow the Oh She Glows blog, so my only interaction with her content is through her cookbooks. Oh She Glows Every Day is full of basic recipes, interesting spins on classic veggie dishes, and lots of explanations of both dishes and the process of cooking. To top it off, this edition is very aesthetically pleasing! I find some other vegan dishes to be good in theory but not in practice, but not these! They're non intimidating and truly life up to their name, for "every day". I couldn't be happier with this purchase.

Like many of the other reviews, I'm disappointed with the lack of originality and substance. Much of this book can be found on-line or on her blog and I find the writing intro for each entry is tedious. There's nothing unique or innovative about this book and I wish I'd read the reviews online before purchasing. Like a few others here have stated, I'd leave this book on the shelf.

I manage a vegan high school cafeteria and have made many of Angela's recipes for the students, which have all received stellar reviews. So when I saw that there would be a sequel to her first cookbook, I (of course!) pre-ordered it without hesitation way back when it was first possible to do this. However, I unfortunately do have to agree with all the other disappointed reviews when I say that this cookbook is seriously lacking in substance. I feel almost cheated when the book has so many recipes that are not unique. I can easily do a google search and find the exact same thing - recipes such as almond butter, sunflower butter, a very basic chia pudding parfait, etc. There are so many "non-meal" recipes in this book (i.e. pantry staples, smoothies, snacks, spreads, etc." and like another reviewer said, many of the recipes are just takes off blog posts. Not much new content, sadly. I also feel like every recipe has a novel before you even get to the recipe. I understand having an intro explaining a recipe or sharing a cute story, but I really feel like there is just too much that is said at the beginning of almost every recipe. I'm sorry to say that if I had seen the book before I purchased it, I probably would have left it on the shelf.

The book lacks anything new, recipes are repetitive (especially if you follow her blog) and are basically the same from the first book (with a few updates). The bonus recipe bundle is not a bonus since they're in the book. Photos are lovely but the book lacks originality and unique recipes. Save your money and take a pass.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So disappointed! I loved Angela's first cookbook and I've been a long time follower of her blog. That's why I was so excited when I pre- ordered this book. However, when it finally arrived, I felt cheated. A LOT of the recipes in this cookbook are already on her blog or in her first cookbook. The pictures are beautiful, but I feel it lacks a lot of originality and creativity. Also, the bonus recipe bundle she was giving away has 2 or 3 recipes that are in the book. That kind of defeats the purpose of making a bonus recipe bundle, doesn't it? All in all, I'm really glad I didn't pay full price for this book.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Oh She Glows has been a longtime favorite blog of mine and the first cookbook is one of my most used. I always go back to it because the recipes are great and almost every recipe has turned out well. I've been waiting for this book to come out for a long time and was really let down when I actually got it. There are almost no new recipes in this book. With the exception of the shepherds pie and the cashew cheesecake all of the recipes are either straight from the blog or slight updates from the previous cookbook. Many of the pages are just filler recipes for things that every cookbook has already published in the last couple years (avocado toast, hummus, almond milk, overnight oats green smoothies,the same green smoothie recipe on another page but doubled..) There are things that are just unnecessary like single ingredient recipes for almond butter and sunflower seed butter. I feel cheated by the lack of new recipes and ripped off by the amount of recipes that have already been published online or are from the first book but with two ingredients changed. Buy the first Oh She Glows book because it is fantastic. Then skip buying this one :(

Rated 2 out of 5 by from disappointed Disappointed. Very few new recipes. A lot of recipes we've seen before: on the blog, the first book and the app. Was hoping for more hearty entrees but instead this book is heavy on the smoothies, sweets and basics (nut butters, vinaigrettes etc) Several recipes cant even be considered recipes; almond butter from just almonds, coconut butter from just coconut; really? Would have appreciated more real recipes. If you already have the first book, this one is not much of an addition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another winner! Now I have 2 favourite cookbooks! This one and her first Oh She Glows. Again Angela has outdone herself with gorgeous photos to accompany her delicious recipes. My copy is already full of the sticky notes indicating which recipes I want to try first. They all look so good! I have enjoyed each one I've tried so far and look forward to eating my way through all my sticky notes. Thanks for the good eats!
