Ambrose Bierce was an american writer who worked in the field of humourous and horror fiction. As Bierce took part in the American Civil War it made a major effect on his perception of the world and his style of writing. Nowadays Ambrose Bierce is considered to be the master of a short story. 'Oil of Dog' is a shorty story published in the collection book 'Parenticide Club' in 1911. It tells us about a medicine which is made from dog-oil. But one day doctors notice that the curing effect of the medicine has increased. The manufactor of the dog-oil is surprised and extremely proud as he thinks he has found the perfect condition of the oil... and the only person who knows the terrible secret of it is his own son.
