Once Upon A Time...

In a rustic Missiissippi tavern, a beautiful exiled princess was forced to dance for the pleasure of others--unaware of her regal birthright...and infuriated by a magnificent golden-eyed devil who crossed an ocean to possess her.

From A Far Off Land...

A bold and brazen prince came to America to claim his promised bride. But the spirited vixen spurned his affections while inflaming his royal blood with passion's fire...impelling virile Stefan Barany to take in sensuous and searing conquest the love Tatiana vowed never to yield.

One of the world's most successful authors of historical romance, every one of Johanna Lindsey's previous novels has been a national bestseller, and several of her titles have reached the #1 spot on the New York Times bestseller list. Ms. Lindsey lives in New England with her family.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hail to thePrincess This is the first Johanna Lindsey book that I have read and picked it up at a garage sale one day several years ago, and I'm absolutely glad that I did. This book is fantastic and I loved the constant struggle between the two main characters, not just with each other but within themselves as well. Stefan with his insecurity of his appearance and Tanya with the acceptance of who she really is. Great characters and I also fell in love with Stefan's friends.
