Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very important in my book shelf I have red several books in this subject and this book offers all the subjects for anyone who is interested in learning the core elements of Organization development. It includes new coverage of complexity and chaos theory, new case studies describing OD practices and attitudes in countries outside of the U.S. and U.K., and new chapters on change and culture and employee engagement and wellbeing. There is cross-referencing between the HR and OD departments and the way to collaborate between OD and HR functions. It has definitely everything you need to understand what OD is and what is not, since other books dedicate many chapters to change management and culture, as if that was all you can know about OD, when it is not.

Editorial Reviews

"The first edition of Organization Development was a very useful compendium of theories, practices, and figures with well-informed guidance for practitioners.  This new edition is even more so with expanded, updated, and new sections on complexity and chaos theories and approaches, Dialogic OD, the logistics and infrastructure that support change, behavioral change, organization agility and resilience, and employee engagement.  Mee-Yan Cheung-Judge and Linda Holbeche have again produced a valuable handbook for both the beginning and experienced OD practitioner."
