Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Real canadian heroes This is a brilliant account of all the Canadians heroes who won the Victoria Cross. The author does no limit his description to the action but he gives very precise details about about theirs exploits. He also offers us glimpses of those soldiers, he informs the reader on what happened to those heroes after their exploit, dead or alive. This book is easy to read, very interesting and tell a great piece of our history. It’s a must read for everybody who is interest in the role of Canada at war. The most important thing about this book after you close it name like Triquet, Kaeble, Brillant etc……will mean a lot to me and I will be forever thankful to them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Proud Canadian Here is a book that every Canadian should be reading. This book demonstrates the heroics of our fighting men in times which we as peace loving people just cannot imagine. The conditions that some of these men were faced with was incredible (war truly is hell) but for one reason or another they stood out from the rest. This book made me more proud to be a Canadian after reading it than I have ever felt before. A. Bishop truly did his homework and I cannot wait to read another book from him. In closing when anyone sees a veteran just thank them for your freedom and remember that they are all heroes.
