A New York Times bestseller

The sequel—and conclusion—to Victoria Schwab’s instant #1 New York Times bestseller, This Savage Song.

Kate Harker is a girl who isn’t afraid of the dark. She’s a girl who hunts monsters. And she’s good at it. August Flynn is a monster who can never be human. No matter how much he once yearned for it. He has a part to play. And he will play it, no matter the cost.

Nearly six months after Kate and August were first thrown together, the war between the monsters and the humans is a terrifying reality. In Verity, August has become the leader he never wished to be, and in Prosperity, Kate has become the ruthless hunter she knew she could be. When a new monster emerges from the shadows—one who feeds on chaos and brings out its victim’s inner demons—it lures Kate home, where she finds more than she bargained for. She’ll face a monster she thought she killed, a boy she thought she knew, and a demon all her own.

A gorgeously written dark fantasy from New York Times-bestselling author Victoria Schwab, and one to hand to fans of Holly Black, Laini Taylor, and Maggie Stiefvater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from beautiful what a unique and well-suited ending for this amazing duology. SPOILERS; if you're one of those people who can only be satisfied with a happy ending, don't read. i'd call it a bittersweet ending, because im hopeful. I LOVE the range of emotions this book put me through. although it was a page-turner, there were some parts that i just had to stop reading because it was bad - not the writing, just where the story was headed had the foreshadow-y miserable aura that i did NOT want to read. it is VERY well written though, and this book couldn't be any more perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even better that the first one Our dark duet is everything I wanted for the first one and even more. While I found this savage song dragging at some moment, this one keep going, I read most of it in one setting. I couldn't put it down. The characters arc was amazing, the plot was thick and it was a roller coster of emotion that let me broken inside, but honestly in the best way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not as good as the 1st Although still a page turner, I wanted the book to end. It wasn't as gripping as the first book and not as much character depth as I'd hoped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent!!!!! ** spoiler alert ** My god this book filled me with so many emotions. This was a wonderfully painful ending to August and Kate's story. Though sad it was necessary in a way that can't be explained. I have loved reading about these characters so much like I did in Victoria Schwab's other series, she is so good and getting you to care about the characters, to feel for them. This whole story was beautifully crafted and just so incredibly enjoyable to read. The setting was so detailed as well as the creatures that lurked in the dark. The bonds/relationship between the characters were so moving and amazing to read about that it just added so much to the series, I've never read a single one of Victoria's books where I've been able to find a character I didn't like. I loved that we got to see what life was like in a place outside of Verity where the monsters were still generally unknown among the people. I'm also so glad we got to spend so much of this finally seeing August and Kate back together because they are just phenomenal together and they bring out the best in one another. This whole series was mind blowingly fantastic and I would definitely suggests reading it if you're looking for an excellent book

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I NEED MORE I was a tiny bit disappointed about the ending, but overall, it's a great ending to the series

Rated 3 out of 5 by from 3.5 stars for few shudders it gave me when reading from Sloan's POV. Maybe I should have re-read the first book since I forgot the whole plot and the 3 different types of monsters. It was well-written but I just couldn't relate to the characters and didn't have any attachment to any of them either.
