Rated 4 out of 5 by from Liked it Much like other Michelle Karl novels I've read, this book started out with fast-paced action that kept me reading. It was an interesting premise that started out strong, with the typical "coincidences" for the heroine who has faith in God who in turn does protect her. I liked how Yasmine revealed the information about her past slowly and how she was courageous enough to go after the people wanting to hurt her while also relying on support from law enforcement as much as possible. I really did like her character and Noel's a lot, at first. -----------Spoilers Ahead----------- The plot slowed down in the middle a bit, which was fine as it takes time to build character, however I just felt that there was something... off about the rest of the story. One issue was that I was unable to suspend my disbelief about Yasmine's capabilities, especially given the extent of her injuries. There were also a few plot holes which took me away from the story like how Yasmine was able to wave and talk to a Pentagon employee, while also hand-cuffed. Another issue that took me away from the story was that the bad guy, who was apparently smart enough to run an entire black ops team outside the law, was unable to wait for the right moment to kill her and Noel because of Yasmine's unbelievable heroics.
