A New York Times bestseller
Finding love and freedom in a pen, a paintbrush. . . and Paris
How much money does it take to quit your job?
Exhausted and on the verge of burnout, Janice poses this questions to herself as she doodles on a notepad at her desk. Surprisingly, the answer isn't as daunting as she expected. With a little math and a lot of determination, Janice cuts back, saves up, and buys herself two years of freedom in Europe.

Through a combination of sign language and franglais, they embark on a whirlwind Paris romance. She soon realizes that she can never return to the world of twelve-hour workdays and greasy corporate lingo. But her dwindling savings force her to find a way to fund her dreams again. So Janice turns to her three loves-words, art, and Christophe-to figure out a way tomake her happily-ever-after in Paris last forever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some Words to Live By I will admit that I bought this book because it was set in Paris but I enjoyed it for the life lessons. Life is way too cluttered these days. This book might just inspire you to clean up some of your clutter, discover your artistic side, walk more and slow down. Also, a great story. I had to ask for help to find this in my store. It's with the travel books.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An honest rendition Absolutely enjoyed this honest rendition about a life-changing leap of faith one takes when you are stuck in a routine and a lifestyle that is not yours! Moving to Paris sounds more like a successful therapy and a twist on love story more like a bonus sent form the universe for that sort of courage. A delectable read and ... eye-opening actually!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this so much! It starts with how the author decided to quit her job, and what she had to do to get there. It inspired me to take care of unfinished business, clean up the clutter and simplify my life. It might not make me move to Paris, but it made me aware that I have control on how complicated my life needs to be. The second part, when the author goes to Paris, makes me want to slow down and enjoy life. Great read!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved this! We went to Paris for the first time last year and fell in love with the city!! This book reminded me of our trip all over again; Janice describes the city just as I remember it. It was so inspiring to hear how Janice bravely broke free from her unsatisfying life. And the cherry on top was the romance and true love that was found!
