Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favourite baking books, ever! I received this book as a gift several years ago, and it quickly became my favourite baking book. Every recipe I have tried has turned out incredibly. Initially I wasn't sure what to expect because the book has no photographs, and for many of the recipes I had no idea what the recipe was supposed to look like. However Dorie provides such detailed instructions, and I started to enjoy the element of 'surprise.' So far I haven't crossed one bad recipe in this book! I also enjoyed reading the backstories of each of the pastry chefs that she borrows the recipes from. Highly recommend!
