Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really enjoyed this read. I bought this book because of Darwyn Cooke's art and really enjoyed both the art and the story. It's a fairly quick read, but I was really sucked me in to the revenge/crime story. I like the somewhat small paperback edition that's nice for traveling with, I've since read the second book in the series and enjoyed that as well (there are 4 in total). I plan on reading the rest when these newer editions are all released.

"Cooke brilliantly captures New York's early-'60s skyline, fashions, &cars, integrating cool gradations against black brushwork as smoothly as a jazzsoundtrack." — The Village Voice
