Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great game, great price at chapters.indigo.ca This is a great coop game with a lot of re-playability. Just be warned though that the base game only comes with one scenario (5 adventures) plus a 3 game intro campaign and you need to buy the other five decks (and the optional character deck) separately. Also, as of this writing, $40 for the base set and $15 for each extra deck is the cheapest I have ever seen it and it's at chapters.indigo.ca, so get it here! If you want everything, the game will end up costing you $130 at these prices. A bit on the expensive end for board games but you do get a lot of content and a lot of gameplay hours.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As true to the RPG as a card game can get You will need to forget a few rules of the pencil and paper roleplaying game in order to play this (eg. Many spells can be used on players in different locations, whereas in the RPG they would have to be within 30 or 120 feet or so; they did this to encourage cooperation). Overall, though, it is a blast for people who love the RPG - and probably just as enjoyable for those who have played neither before. In a nutshell, you (solo or with friends - it is a lot easier with friends!) go to various locations to hunt down a villain. He is in one location, while his henchmen are in the others. You must explore each location until you find him or a henchman, stuffing your pack with spells, armor and weapons that you find. When you get injured, your character deck gets smaller and smaller - when you run out of cards, your character dies! Some characters, like Kyra the Cleric, can heal herself and others (by adding cards back to your deck). The characters actually improve with experience. The character deck gets stronger cards and actual base stats increase over time. The game includes some basic scenarios along with the first adventure. You won't get bored over time, since they will be releasing another five adventure packs to keep things fresh! The game itself, the character add-on pack, and the adventure packs are all best to get from Chapters (online, not the store) because they are almost always on sale. The prices on the website are far better than anywhere else.
