Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really enjoyed Being an avid PJ fan I found this storyline intriguing, a little off centre to what I expected and far away from my attempts to second guess where it would go next (object accomplished). The way the parents minds were tested all through was clever and the outcome was unpredictable if not a touch abrupt

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fantastic starting point Fantastic start. Would have liked a bit more grounding and information on the genetics involved but this may have put far more readers off. Ethics also was evoked in name only but not explored or validated. How different was their 'sect' from the one in the monastery? Became far too fantastical for me maybe we do live in a world with underground secret establishments but it is too far out of my experience to feel anything but sci-fi. Gripping subject told by a thriller writer. In different hands this could have been a stunning book but it is a competent thriller. Do not expect more.
