Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cultural Migration I have read this book in Spanish and sincerely recommend it. It is an excellently written psychobiography of a non-Hispanic boy who spent most of his formative years in a poverty stricken, Spanish speaking suburb in California, USA. The author, Ms. Allende, has an outstanding gift to portray emotional maturation, emotional turmoil, and emotional entanglements.
