Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE THIS BOOK! A must-read! Written by a Canadian, for Canadians, Planet Boomer takes a lot of the guess-work out of what it would take to make “escaping” one step closer to a reality! It highlights key cities, even neighbourhoods, to focus on, describing how to find all the key comforts of home. Besides outlining daily living expenses, this book goes far beyond by answering key questions like Visa requirements, what happens to my RRSPs , Canada Pension and Healthcare if you move permanently. It also shows us how we can simply escape for a only a few months and live extremely comfortably regardless of our income. Easy to read, well organized, beautiful descriptions and great interviews from people who have already made the move!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy to have found this book Stumbled upon this book by pure chance and boy am I happy I did! Retirement has been a big topic in my household for the last year. With the help of this book, I've been able to come up with ideas I thought would never be possible during retirement. This book decreased my fears in retiring and definitely enhances the excitement for that chapter of my life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing book--and I'm in my 20's. Someone recommended this book so I thought I would pick up a copy for my mom as it would not apply to me. Turns out, the book is totally suitable for young adults, and I now have a copy for my mom and myself. It plants little seeds of ideas that you can nurture and grow for years. It had me thinking about things and challenging myself on things I normally wouldn't think about. My friends think i'm crazy when I recommend it, but the few that did read it, thanked me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from WOW - This book will challenge your traditional retirement plans and in a good way. Prior to reading this book, my retirement plans were to live modestly in Canada. Stay in the environment that I know, regardless of weather challenges. This book will challenge your thinking. It will open your eyes & ears up to a new possibility for retirement. A life that I didn't know could be possible. I highly recommend this book, regardless of your age. It will open your mind up to a different retirement possibility.
